AMEC is seeking nominations for a series of vacancies on its International Board. We ask you to consider standing for election.
Under the rules which form part of our guiding Memorandum and Articles of the Association, half of the Board resigns each year. There are 8 vacancies representing Full Members, Associate Members, International Research Members and Non-Profit Members. We are also holding
Candidates will serve for two-years commencing 1st January, 2018.
Richard Bagnall, Chairman of AMEC and Global Strategy Consultant for PRIME Research, said AMEC was at an important stage in its history, with the organisation showing strong growth, while adapting to the huge changes in the public relations, communications, media and media intelligence sectors.

He said: “The pace of disruption to PR, Comms and media has also had a huge impact on the media intelligence sector. AMEC’s impressive growth continues, both internationally and through partnerships and education initiatives and events. AMEC is the defacto leader that the market turns to for advice on best practice regarding today’s communications measurement and evaluation challenges.
“Our international board is at the heart of this important work. I am looking for a motivated team of members to join our board who will have the time, energy and can offer the resources required to help propel our important work.”
Elections are simultaneously being held for the Election of Chapter Chairs and Vice Chairs for each region. Each Chapter has one seat on the AMEC Board for 12 months.
There are vacancies to represent these member categories:

  • Full Member category – 3 vacancies
  • Associate Member – 3 vacancies.
  • International Research Members: – 1 vacancy
  • Not for Profit Members: – 1 vacancy
  • International Chapter Chair: – 4 vacancies for Chapter Chairs and Vice Chairs in Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America.

Other Directors will remain as they have a further year to serve of their two-year term.
Timeline

  • Friday 24th November, 2017
    Deadline for receiving nominations and personal statements.
  • Monday 27th November – Friday 8th December
    If more nominations than vacancies are received, a 7 day ballot process will be run.
  • Monday 11th December, 2017
    AMEC Election results announced.
  • Thursday 14th December, 2017
    Election results ratified by the AMEC International Board and the Annual General Meeting.
