Virtual Summit 2020 Announcement

AMEC Global Summit 2020 – announcement

Details coming soon of the AMEC Global Summit 2020 virtual event

Dear AMEC Community,

With the rapid, global spread of the COVID-19 infection and in order to protect the health and safety of our members, staff and delegates, the 2020 AMEC Global Summit – which was set to take place June 2-4, 2020 in Vienna – has now officially been transitioned to a virtual event which will commence the week of July 6th 2020.

The AMEC Summit epitomizes global measurement and evaluation of communications best practices; this event brings together the most influential members of the industry in the world. Although the summit will be different in 2020 (like many things) we are working with our great member and partner, Intrado, to deliver an engaging program and ensure that there are unique networking opportunities for our delegates. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors for their support, understanding, patience and generous collaboration during these trying times.

Making the decision to postpone the Vienna AMEC Global Summit on Measurement was difficult, but we will be in Vienna May 5-7, 2021 and look forward to seeing you then.

Early registrations for the 2020 AMEC Summit will carry over to the 2021 event and those delegates will be given a pass to the 2020 virtual event at no additional cost. Please be advised that all Marriott hotel reservations for 2020 will be cancelled this week and new reservations will be required once we have the new booking codes for 2021.

Details regarding the 2020 Summit virtual event will be sent out in a separate notice along with the registration link and program by the end of April. As you know, the AMEC Awards judging is underway and we will proceed with shortlist announcements as scheduled in May.

I sincerely hope you stay safe and healthy during this difficult time. I wish you success in adapting to the new normal of everyday business and that you find joy in your new role(s) as teacher, chef, activity director and caregiver.

Thank you for being part of this amazing community and continuing to support AMEC. I know we will come through this smarter and stronger and likely discover new innovations from this experience.

Sincerely,
Johna Burke
AMEC Global Managing Director
