AMEC is inviting new candidates to come forward in the AMEC Elections which launches at the end of October.
Barry Leggetter, CEO of AMEC: “Every year we say farewell and thank you to Directors who retire by rotation. It is also our opportunity to bring in new industry professionals with new ideas and thinking to contribute to AMEC’s growth plan.”
AMEC is seeking candidates for nomination to stand for Election to the AMEC International Board of Directors to serve for two-years commencing 1st January, 2018. Also being held will be the Election of Chapter Chairs for each region which has a seat on the AMEC Board for 12 months.
There are vacancies to represent these member categories:

  • Full Member category – 3 vacancies
  • Associate Member – 3 vacancies.
  • International Research Members: – 1 vacancy
  • Not for Profit Members: – 1 vacancy
  • International Chapter Chair: – 4 vacancies for Chapter Chairs in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America

Other Directors will remain as they have a further year to serve of their two-year term.
All retiring directors are eligible for re-election subject to the Articles of Association.

  • Monday 30th October, 2017:
    AGM announcement, Nomination and Manifesto forms to be sent to members for AMEC Board Director and Chapter Chair vacancies.
  • Friday 24th November, 2017:
    Deadline for receiving nominations and personal statements.
  • Monday 27th November – Friday 8th December
    If we have more nominations than vacancies, a 7 day ballot process will be run.
  • Monday 11th December, 2017
    AMEC Election results announced.
  • Thursday 14th December, 2017
    Election results ratified by the AMEC International Board and the Annual General Meeting.
