AMEC Welcomes Kyle Mason to the Board of Directors

It is with great pleasure that we announce Kyle Mason, Head of External Monitoring – Corporate Relations at Shell, has joined the AMEC Board of Directors for the remainder of 2024. Kyle joins the Board as a co-opted member by Raina Lazarova, AMEC Chair, to recognise his exceptional role in leading our In-house Communication Teams membership group.

Kyle is an avid AMEC supporter, an active contributor and one of the experts in our industry. He brings a wealth of experience from both the supplier and client side in the communication measurement space, including senior leadership roles at PRIME Research (now Cision) and most recently as part of the Corporate Relations team at Shell. Kyle’s deep understanding of data analytics, planning and research, measurement and evaluation makes him an invaluable addition to the Board.

In addition to his new role on the Board of Directors, Kyle will continue to serve as the Chair of AMEC’s In-house Communication Teams group. The in-house membership category is open to in-house teams in organisations with a commitment to, an active interest in, or in the promotion of best practice and application of data, analytics, planning, research measurement and evaluation of communication and public relations.

Kyle leads global external insights for Shell’s Corporate Relations function. In his role, Kyle delivers reputation insights to multiple stakeholders across Shell’s global operations. Prior to joining Shell, Kyle was Head of Automotive Analytics for PRIME Research. Kyle’s combined agency and client-side experience gives him a unique perspective on how insight is used by one of Europe’s most valuable companies. Kyle was named one of the top 5 brand leaders in Social Media Intelligence by the SILab in 2024.

“AMEC is the driving force behind the measurement and evaluation industry, raising industry standards and fostering innovation. I’m excited to join the AMEC board at a time of great opportunity for our sector and to contribute to best practice that empowers organisations to make data-driven decisions. With a new board position representing in-house members, I want to grow the network and provide a platform for members to learn from best practice at some of the world’s largest organisations”, says Kyle about the appointment.

“As AMEC continues to grow, Kyle’s expertise and insights will undoubtedly play a significant role in shaping the future of our organisation”, AMEC’s CEO and GMD Johna Burke comments on the appointment.

“Kyle’s experience and dedication to the field of communication measurement make him a perfect fit for the AMEC Board”, adds AMEC Chair Raina Lazarova.
