His academic background is from mathematics and computer science, and he holds a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Oslo. He has been responsible for building the Opoint data service and scaled it to capture at least 85% of editorial news stories published freely, providing a global, almost real-time news service used by big players in the media monitoring industry. He has also lead the development of customer-facing tools and services used in the Nordic countries. His latest focus has been on add meaningful metadata to individual news items at a global scale to help the industry make better filtering systems and more accurate metrics for web media output.
