CALL FOR AMEC MENTORS 2022

16th December 2021/in News AMEC Agency SIG, Common Ground, James Crawford, PR Agency One/by Julie Wilkinson

AMEC is asking for members to volunteer to become official AMEC mentors ahead of the new AMEC Mentoring Programme 2022.

AMEC needs members to volunteer their time to help create serious change within the communications industry, to increase knowledge and improve best practices.

In 2021 we ran a pilot mentoring programme, and now, in 2022, all the learnings from this test phase have been put in place to launch the official mentoring programme. The mentee application process will be open through February 11th, with the official mentoring from March through the end of May 2022.

The programme, which AMEC board member James Crawford leads, is looking to expand its expert panel of mentors who will make themselves available to support individuals and organisations looking to make major steps forward with their measurement and evaluation. The existing panel needs to be supplemented with additional mentors to help ensure we manage and meet demand.

The mentors will support mentees who want to go further than accessing “entry-level” knowledge and need guidance on tackling major business-critical challenges. Each mentor will commit between 15-20 hours of time and support.

The AMEC mentoring programme will target senior decision-makers within the PR industry to shift the industry towards greater accountability and focus on better planning and measurement of commercial outcomes. However, we will accept all professionals who want to advance their application of best practices.

What subjects do we need our mentors to cover?

Measurement and evaluation skills are vast, and mentors are needed specifically in the following areas.

  • Quantitative analysis
  • Qualitative analysis
  • PR evaluation
  • Social media analysis
  • Advertising and media planning
  • Google Analytics
  • Advanced analytics and database creation (MYSQL)
  • Ecommerce tracking
  • Business intelligence
  • Commercial analysis
  • Data visualisation: e.g. data studio
  • Data collection
  • Reporting
  • Data modelling
  • Tech and Tech stack selection and advice

Complete the 2022 Mentor Registration form to confirm your commitment to the program.
