Step Up, Stand Out: Why Now Is the Time to Lead at AMEC

28th August 2025/in Leadership and Staff, News Julie Wilkinson/by Julie Wilkinson

Leadership starts with showing up.
This October, AMEC invites its members to step forward in the 2026–2027 Global Board of Director Elections. If you’ve ever considered taking a more active role in shaping the future of our industry, this is your moment.

Why Lead?

AMEC is more than an association. It is a global community of professionals committed to advancing communication measurement and evaluation. Serving on the Board means:

  • Influencing the direction of the industry
  • Representing your peers and their evolving needs
  • Raising the profile of your organisation as a thought leader
  • Building relationships with global experts and innovators
  • Gaining visibility and credibility in your professional network

Whether you’re a seasoned executive or an emerging leader, Board service is a powerful way to give back while growing forward.

Key Dates to Know

  • Town Hall: 15 September at 1:00 PM BST (Hosted by CEO Johna Burke and current Board Directors)
Check Check Register for the ElectionsTownhall
  • Nomination and Manifestos Deadline: 6 October 2025
  • Ballots Open: 8 October 2025

The Town Hall is your chance to learn what Board service involves, hear from current leaders, and ask questions. Attendance is encouraged but not required to stand for election.

Who Can Run?

All AMEC members in good standing are eligible. Every membership category has a seat at the table, and every voice matters. Available vacancies on the 2026-2027 AMEC Board rotation will be included in the procedure documents.

What You’ll Need

To nominate yourself or another member (from the same membership category), you will submit:

  • 📄 A Nomination Form
  • 🗣️ An Election Manifesto

These documents help members understand your vision, values, and what you’ll bring to the Board. The Election forms and process will be sent to all members eligible for the 2025-2026 Board Election on Monday 8 September, 2025.

Why Your Voice Matters

The future of measurement and evaluation is being shaped right now. By stepping into leadership, you are not just representing your organisation. You are helping define the standards, ethics, and innovations that will guide our work for years to come.

Call to Action: Nominate Today!

If you’re ready to raise your hand, raise your voice, and raise the profile of your organisation, now is the time to act. All procedure information and forms will be sent to all members on Monday 8 September.

✅ Access and complete the nomination form
✅ Nominees craft your manifesto
✅ Submit by 06 October 2025

Whether you’re nominating yourself or a colleague, your leadership could be the spark that drives our industry forward.

The next chapter of AMEC leadership begins with you.
