APA-CommConnect: Mit Social-Media zum Wahlerfolg, Politische Kommunikation im Social-Web

The past election to the National Council has shown that anyone who understands social media has already mastered a good part of the election campaign and the political debate. However, this development holds opportunities and dangers: Social media communication is considered credible and authentic, fast and barrier-free, but also paves the way for populism, echo chambers and false reports.

We look at the presence leaders in the social networks of the past election, and how their campaigns have affected the outcome of the election. We also want to know how the various channels are used in the coalition negotiations and what the economy can look to the parties’ communication strategies.
