Mariya Jeliazova

Mariya Jeliazova joins AstraZeneca Balkans team in 2022, where she is leading the internal and external communications of the Cluster, which includes Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and the countries of the Southwest Balkans. She developed her career in different international companies and has over 15 years of experience in communications, public affairs and media relations, crisis communications, employer branding, storytelling, corporate social responsibility and ESG. In her current role Mariya is involved in building and maintaining the positive reputation for the organization through strategic communication initiatives. Before joining the innovative biopharmaceutical company, Mariya headed the Corporate Communications department at tbi bank for Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. She has held various positions in international companies such as Coca-Cola HBC and Societe Generale Expressbank. For her, the leading qualities for personel and professional development are growth mindset, curiosity, motivation to work in a team, diversity and the personal desire to surpass yourself first. She defines her two daughters as her best mentors and teachers and enjoys to travel and discover new places with them.
