The election process for members AMEC seeks nominations from members who are ready to lead and volunteer their experience to make a difference to the work of the organization and industry. All you need to know is in the AMEC Procedure for Election to the Board of Directors 2025-2026 You can self-nominate or ask another AMEC member to nominate you, provided that, the member is from the same membership category as your company. There are two documents to complete and return by MONDAY 14 OCTOBER 2024. Nomination Form Election Manifesto 2025-2026 International Board of Director two-year term vacancies: Full Members: 6 Vacancies Research / Agency Members: 1 Vacancy Associate Members: 1 Vacancy Not for Profit Members: 1 Vacancy Individual Members: 1 Vacancy Important note to nomination and voting process AMEC Board Elections – members in good standing only can nominate and vote if ballots are called for candidates running in their membership category* – for example, a full member can only nominate or vote for another full member. (*Ballots will be distributed 16 October to members in member categories with vacancies and only reflect candidates in the category). It is important to secure the support of your peers in your relevant membership category in the AMEC Board election candidates are encouraged to reach out to the stakeholders they intend to represent for support. Member directories can be found here. Members are invited to nominate in both Board and Chapter leadership elections, Chapter Director election papers can be found here. Key Dates for 2024-2025 Board Term Elections Monday 30 September – Notice of AMEC AGM and election details posted on AMEC website. Monday 30 September – Email notification to all active members Monday 14 October – Deadline to submit Nominations and Personal Statement forms. Wednesday 16 October – AMEC announces nominations and open ballots, if required, e.g., if nominations exceed the number of vacancies in each membership category. Wednesday 30 October – Ballot closes (if called) Wednesday 6 November – AMEC AGM – election results ratified and announced. Sunday 1 January 2025 – BOD Two Year Term Commences Thursday 31 December 2026 – BOD Two-Year Term Ends
