Election Ballots for the 2026-2027 term AMEC Board of Directors – now open! The Elections for the AMEC 2026 Board of Directors and Chapter Directors are now open. AMEC seeks nominations from members who are ready to lead and volunteer their experience to make a difference in the work of the organization and industry. Members are invited to nominate in both Board and Chapter leadership elections, all details can be found below. The election process for members All you need to know is in the AMEC Procedure for Election to the Board of Directors 2026-2027 You can self-nominate or ask another AMEC member to nominate you, provided that, the member is from the same membership category as your company. There are two documents to complete and return via e-mail by MONDAY 6 OCTOBER 2025. Nomination Form Election Manifesto Nominations will be posted on our election website page for member review. 2026-2027 International Board of Director two-year term vacancies: Full Members: 5 Vacancies Research / Agency Members: 0 Vacancy Associate Members: 4 Vacancies Not for Profit Members: 0 Vacancy Individual Members: 0 Vacancy Important note to nomination and voting process AMEC Board Elections – members in good standing only can nominate and vote if ballots are called for candidates running in their membership category* – for example, a full member can only nominate or vote for another full member. (*Ballots will be distributed 8 October to members in member categories with vacancies and only reflect candidates in the category). It is important to secure the support of your peers in your relevant membership category in the AMEC Board election candidates are encouraged to reach out to the stakeholders they intend to represent for support. Monday 8 September – Email notification to all active members Monday 6 October – Deadline to submit Nominations and Personal Statement forms. Wednesday 8 October – AMEC announces nominations and open ballots, if required, e.g., if nominations exceed the number of vacancies in each membership category. Wednesday 15 October – Ballot closes (if called) Wednesday 25 November – AMEC AGM – election results ratified and announced. If the number of nominations exceeds the vacancies the vote will go to the ballot and members will be invited to participate in each election.
