Shekhar Govindarajan is the CTO of Impact Research and Measurement, a New Delhi, India – based media monitoring and analysis firm and a member of AMEC. He has built and continues to maintain the tech stack at Impact. Currently, he and his team are focused on developing innovative products and solutions using open source Gen AI tools.

With over 25 years of experience, in the past, Shekhar has delivered technology solutions across a diverse range of sectors—including IT, healthcare, travel, media, PR, marketing, manufacturing, legal, non-profits, diplomatic missions, and government projects. His professional journey includes collaborations with leading organizations such as Microsoft, Accenture, and the United Nations.

A passionate advocate of open source, Shekhar has authored numerous articles on Linux and open source technologies for leading IT publications. He was also a regular speaker at tech seminars across India, where he shared insights on software development and the open source ecosystem.

In his free time, Shekhar enjoys tinkering with home automation, gaming on his Xbox and Meta Quest VR, and indulging his inner superhero as a die-hard Marvel Cinematic Universe fan—rarely missing a first-day, first-show release.
