AMEC outgoing CEO Barry Leggetter has been recognised at this year’s PRCA National Awards for his outstanding contribution to the PR industry. Barry Leggetter was presented with the Mark Mellor Award for Outstanding Contribution to the PR industry, at the PRCA National Awards held in London. Speaking to 800 PR professionals, Francis Ingham, PRCA Director General, said: “Barry Leggetter has changed the face of PR. “By putting evaluation at the heart of our industry, he has done more than any other industry leader to professionalise public relations. We are incredibly proud to have presented him with the Mark Mellor Award for his Outstanding Contribution to the industry.”
Leggetter said: “I am both honoured and humbled to have received this award.” The Award is named after Firefly’s late MD Mark Mellor, whose PR career was cut short in 2012, aged 49.
