Infomedia and Quantum Public RelationsGuest lecture on Communication Measurement and Evaluation

Event produced by Infomedia and Quantum Public Relations

Communication is a powerful tool capable of influencing the opinions and actions of a large target audience. Yet all too often, communication measurement and evaluation is reduced to simplistic measures like counting press clippings or calculating and engagement score on social media. Such metrics rarely ever reveal whether or not the communications team actually contributed successfully towards reaching the business objectives of their organisation and may lead to the perception that communication is not an important part of doing business.

In this guest lecture, AMEC members Lasse Skjoldan (Infomedia) and Jesper Andersen (Quantum Public Relations) team up to demonstrate how communication measurement and evaluation can take into account both output, outtake and outcome, thus demonstrating true business value to the organisation.

The lecture is in Danish and is organised in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen and is open to all interested students. We thank the University of Copenhagen for their help and assistance in organising this event. The lecture is held in The Small Auditorium, Building 22, room 22.0.11, at the University of Copenhagen’s Njalsgade campus in Copenhagen.

How to register: The event is public and free. No registration necessary.

British Press Coverage of the ReferendumBritish Press Coverage of the Referendum
Event produced by: Reuters institute and Prime Research UK
Was press reporting of the referendum campaign fair? Did Leave and Remain get equal and due coverage? The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford has teamed up with media insight specialists, PRIME Research, to examine the output of the 9 national newspapers across the 4 months of the highly charged and divisive campaign.

Their study, to be launched at the European Parliament’s office in London, reveals that 6 of them favoured Leave, with debate dominated by a limited number of voices. The research shows that highly polarised press coverage may have been significant in setting the terms of the debate.

The findings will be discussed by a panel including people from both sides of the campaign.

BurrellesLuceIntegrated Approach to PR Measurement
Event produced by: BurrellesLuce

Today’s dynamic media environment requires a new approach to measuring the value of public relations. The emphasis on multi-channel marketing has blurred the lines between paid, earned, shared and owned (PESO) information sources. Consumers engage with companies or brands in many different ways-across multiple platforms and channels. Measuring results requires a more integrated approach, such as the AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework, to appreciate the impact of all marketing efforts.

During this webinar the presenter will show:

  • How to apply the AMEC Integrated Evaluation Framework
  • The components of the measurement process
  • Demonstrate the impact of PR and other marketing efforts across the product lifecycle

DeLangeTesting & validating social-media impact on business results
Event produced by: DeLange Analytics and SiteMedia
Venue: Sofia, Bulgaria

Many say they measure ROI in communications. We take a step back and say we test whether and how the social-media conversation might influence business results; then show this impact in numbers and insights. For some industries it’s easier than for others. For all of them, however, we need various types of data and experts with diverse knowledge and backgrounds.

In turn it will examine the practical challenges – and the solutions – comms practitioners face when putting measurement plans into practice, as well as the tools and support they might be able to call on when they encounter external – and internal – obstacles to their planning.

In a late-summer live event, followed by an open-air reception, we would like to show you our ways, some best practices, new developments and business cases.
