AMEC Awards 2012 Winners

Kantar Media and SocialEyez claim top
AMEC Communication Effectiveness Awards.

Sentia Media win Chairman’s Award and Young Professional Award.
LONDON, 15th June 2012 – Kantar Media emerged as major winners in the AMEC International Communications Effectiveness Awards announced last night in Dublin, with 5 Golds including the prestigious Judges’ Platinum Award.(Pictured below – right)

The top Grand Prix International Award was won by SocialEyez (Media Watch), of Dubai, for work for Etisalat UAE. (Pictured below – bottom)

In other major awards categories, the Chairman’s Award was won by John Croll, CEO of 360m (A Sentia Media Company) and Chair of AMEC’s Asia Pacific Chapter. (Pictured below – left)

AMEC Chairman Mike Daniels said: “The award recognises the special contribution John has made to AMEC’s work and his commitment to working across borders and supporting AMEC’s international mission.”

The Young Professional was won by one of John Croll’s employees, Dr. Kate Greenwood, of 360m (a Sentia Media Company).

Another noteable award winner was the communications team from Westminster City Council, London. Westminster won Golds in Best Use of Communication Management Not-for-Profit and in the Integrated Communication Measurement/Research category for their work “Responding to the new world of communications”.

Kantar’s 5 Gold awards were in the Public Sector on behalf of Agence de la biomédecine; Integrated Communication Measurement/Research for Drinkware; Single Event for Ford and Business-to-Business for Diageo as well as Gold for the Judges’ Platinum Award. Kantar also won a Silver award.

The AMEC Awards seek to recognise and promote best practice in communication planning, research and evaluation. The judging panel was chaired by AMEC Board Director, David B. Rockland, Ph.D., Partner/CEO Ketchum Pleon Change and Global Research.
